ItalianRSA at University of Punjab, Chamdigarh, India

Giovanna Avellis chair of ItalianRSA was invited by Prof.Pam Rajput, University of PUNJAB, India at Chandigarh, to give with the other members of Women20 Italy and Indonesia, an engagement group of G20 on Gender Equality, a lecture on “Gender Gap and Barriers of Women in STEM”. Other participants of the panel were

• Linda Laura Sabbadini, ISTAT Director, Italy, who spoke about Gender and Statistics
• Elvira Marasco, President of AW20, the Association of Women 20, who gave the talk on introducing the students and Professors of the University to the issues addressed by Women20, underlining the Gender Medicine and the work done by Women20 Italy in 2021 when the G20/W20 was held in Rome.
• Katia Petrini, Secretary of AW20, who spoke on the role of Women20 and the new-born association in Italy AW20.
• Uli Sillalahi, chair of WOme20 Indonesia, who spoke about women empowerment in financial and labour inclusion

The feedback of the public made of students and professors of University of Punjab as well as other universities in India, such as University of Kashmir, University of Jaipur and others, was very positive and they interacted in the end with questions to the speakers, very interesting questions.
